Ford
announced it was closing it's Victorian factories - plants - 'tother
day, and every anti-ALP federal government slagger was on the waves
asap, saying how bad it was for Geeeelong, and Brooooadmeadows, that
1600 jobs were going.
A!
Yeah! And, yeah, all the ancillary enterprises wedded to making
evermore “planned to be obsolete” in but 5 years maximum motor
cars are on the list to shut too.

Maybe
if the fucking big auto makers had some integrity to begin with -
well...? I used to hold nastys about Ford's founder, the great Henry
Ford, but once I learned he did have a very honorable manner about
himself, I saw him as a good bloke - since competition turned
CRAPitalism into the farce it's made everything - so quality is a
taboo - if the auto makers had some integrity, they'd still be making
cars that last 50 fucking years!?
With
guaranteed after-sales and after market parts supplies!
But
OOOoooOOwh! SHIT NO! Whinged the IMF! We have to destroy
everything with this cheap shit!

before I drank so much, I saw this article and it had a comments
window, so I tried to fling this'n at it.
But
the window was shatterproof, and I wasn't allowed to email the good
old right wing Murdoch “workers” rag, the Melbourne Herald Sun.
So
here is my thrust on the demise of the Ford and other auto
corporations.

This death of Ford in Aus, signs the nation's - and the planet's -
need to look with mere statistics and unambiguous environmental
science, on what's coming down the pipe in the future.
Cars
are kaput!
The
sooner we end our dumb-as romance with the 4-wheeled auto, the
better.
Ecologically,
but mostly, psychologically.
End
all subsidies to that death industry, I say.
And,
the advertizing smultch!
We'd
be better throwing govt funds toward starting our own motorcycle
industry.
But
the era of "enlightened self-interest" a deadly falsity
from it's beginnings in the English 16th/17th century, has got to
end.
The
motor car is one of the most extravagant failures of that deluded
egomania.
I
liked Fords. But all things must pass.
And
the sooner we get beyond cars, the happier the planet will be.
There

So,
as we near the September 14 federal election, all I can advise is
VOTE
MOTORCYCLES!!!
