DEFIANCE Australia And The World Must GET REAL About Refugees Edition
Flicked onto The
Conversation media pages today, to find a 3 week old article
about our Australian borders and refugees, read it, and wrote the
following before realizing it was 3 weeks out of date! TYPICAL?!
Well...,
I guess it's not out of date, whatwith the polies going gangbusters
to win the unwinnable insolvable incurable debate/argument/war of
whiteguy plunder and rule of the dying planet.
So, here it
is....
Controlling
immigration to Australia is a farcical notion, and has been since
1788.
All commentary by
politicians is election-spin, while they do not get into a genuine
global conversation about the fact that refugees are the future, for
some major proportion of the species.
I assert, that
the powers-that-be must address the lay of national borders
everywhere, but especially those imposed by the 19th century western
colonialists.
Borders across
all "manufactured" 3rd world regions [manufactured by the
same aloof elites] were set-out as "economic exclusion zones"
so each Brit/European monarchy could divide the spoils of their
ruthless invasions and plundering.
The current exit
of "refugees" and "asylum-seekers" from those
war-torn regions to our shores are the result of those foolish 19thC
imposed-borders decisions.
While the 1st
world cannot contain it's maximum-consumption cultures, they/we will
ever be trying to capture resources and territories and even the
people from militarily weaker regions - Africa, Asia, Aboriginal
Australia, Et Al.
So, we will never
"stop the boats" permanently, mainly because we are
relatively so under-populated.
The whole world
needs to address this, and the growing insatiable culture out of the
modern west, so-as to reduce impoverishment and civil strife in all
corners of the globe, and the hunger for both more peaceful places to
live, and for satiation of desires that drive people to the
unsustainable west.
For ourselves, we
all need a reality check, and get scientific about economics, which
is, bottom-line, how we relate and disperse ourselves on the
resources, that is shock horror, on the real estate, er, the land.
Arguments exist
about the continent being only capable of supporting as little as 12
millions people.
As we currently
excess in lifestyle, yes.
Were we truly
intelligent, economically, we would distribute ourselves properly,
and share the load and burden far far better, thus enabling an
indeterminate population to occupy sustainably, indefinitely.
There is only one
industry we need to remove from the economic equation to permanently
and peaceably solve this...
Go figure.
