David Cameron pledges era of 'popular capitalism'
....and what I sayeth in responsith...
1st, Cameron's "responsible
capitalism" runs FROM his/politicians' duty of Good Governance of
economic affairs, the PRIMARY province of - Government!
Once more, politicians leaving it to the financial sector to govern themselves. A system which never works, indeed, is designed to not work.
"Popular capitalism" merely justifies his voters' extreme "me-first" selfishness.
QUOTE: "I would go further: where they work properly, open markets and free enterprise can actually promote morality. ...." unquote.
Yes Cameron has gone further, until way outside all boundaries of Reason, by suggesting open markets and free enterprise promote morality!
Did he ever work for an advertising agency? Because that is the kind of stretch the ad industry tries on us, especially when they no there is no arena for a facts-based response or debate.
His, the Tories, and mainstream political party's worldwide denial that capitalism, ungoverned by the People, has passed it's expiry date, and is the now out-of-control system which is steering the globe into the deepest of abysses, shows us that as well as capitalism having reached it's functional end, so has the system of Westminsterian politics.
But of course, the same applies everywhere now.
That dated, anachronistic parliamentary structure, evolved because the (land-)lords then, had enough power to demand a place, thus somewhere for them to talk this same type of fact-less rubbish.
Ever since, Cromwell's day, "parliament" has been a pot within which the spell-casters and outright liars have been able to boil-up-and-spin their fraudulent formula and wicked webs from.
Honest Economic Science shows clearly that such rubbish only takes us down, while a tiny few (OCCUPY's "1%") take the winnings, and shows also, that we do not need such padded-out parliaments. Just Scientific Economic FACTS, behind all laws.
But I find it hard to see any honestly beneficial corrections to how we live, without a major collapse of this chimera of free market capitalism and it's spin-doctors' voice, the current parliaments. And Congress. And Knesset. And Duma. Etc., etc., etc.
One flawed belief, is that we have to suffer to learn.
I disagree, but if most think so, then most will have to be deprived before they "Man-Up" and learn.
Problem will be that those riding on top of the wave, soft-headed as they usually become, run (the masses) to war to avoid facing their own stupidity.
Cameron's arrogance disguises his cowardice, presenting serious mental illnesses amongst his ilk.
Agrarian Socialism, if we have a future, is the future to bank on.
