who was awarded the Nobel prize for his work in Economics, Professor
Klugman, is quoted as saying that "Housing is one of the
great disasters of our times".
He's quite right.
The nuclear
family housing model is so disastrous to the larger resource supply,
to our need for the disgraceful automobile-centred urban structures,
and thus to the global environment, it's not hard to see, were we to
"have faith" [which I do not], that these weather events
are the God or Gods of Economic-thus-Efficient-thus
Ecologically-and-Scientifically-Sound Lifestyles trying to wipe our
really inefficient housing and urban models away.
If it were
possible, then they, those God/s, are in unison with the God or Gods
of Economic-thus-Efficient-thus Ecologically-and-Scientifically-Sound
AGRICULTURE.
Cynics contribute
little more than hot air to genuinely and productively addressing the
world's urgent need to fully re-assess our nuclear family, thus
monogamous marriage, thus housing and land/people distribution
culture/s.
Hard to see the
connection - they can be explained - but our 1st moves should be to
TAX RELIGIONS.
The God or Gods
of an Economic-thus-Efficient-thus
Ecologically-and-Scientifically-Sound PLANET, I suggest, would be OK,
were Humanity to some to it's senses, Collectively, and
Intelligently, of course, and re-appraise everything we've been sold
to accept as for the best, especially in these housing and land use
Issues.
