You can buy LOTS of land here for $15b! But, of course, that limit is
for 'agri-businesses', of which the infrastructure and improvements
might - might be 20% of the value of a farm?
Still
lots left to buy up large acreages!
What
then, about limits on non-Australian residents buying RESIDENTIAL
land?
Given
all elite people of the world [and news is, there's 1st world people
in China, and in every nation, called loosely, "the upper
class"] have oodles of cash to spend on investment and
globe-trotter-holiday
city-apartments/high-end-suburb-houses/resorts//ranches, especially
in the last global realty vestige/refuge - Australia - they, never
have any thought nor hesitation on ethical grounds, for we, "the
natives", when their investment money jacks land prices up way
out of yer Mr & Mrs Av'rages' reach.
THIS,
is one main reason why our industries are going under - because
employees' wages have to keep rising to keep in the game against the
foreign land-buyers, for a slice of their own country, merely to LIVE
ON/in!
