I didn't even read this AFP article, as I'd heard the news on radio earlier.
It did nevertheless spark my typing fingers into tapping.

It has to be asked whether the desperate and for at least 1600 years LOST Catholic clergy have taken their evil up another notch by trying us out with this story of even more bravery by the 19th century nun?
1st, if she did try to out a priest for his paedophilia, in the 19th century, then we have proof that the church has been “at it” or is that “up it” for at least the last century.
Further questions have to be asked about the reason for these widespread abuses.
Was there a covert, nationwide, or WORLDWIDE secret society of Catholic schemers watching over these crimes, controlled by the Vatican, or other church HQ or monastery?
What were the church trying to create with this widespread vile form of control of other peoples' Souls? Of a CHILD'S Soul!?
Of those who were abused, how many of them grew-up to be influential puppets of the churches, either in business, money, or another large profit-taking organisation, and how much has the church profited through this/these post-college connection(s) and position(s)?
Has the church been using (child sexual) abuse to frighten the victims to silence or similar, or to force them to playing “puppet” to the cult?
What have the churches been receiving from their victims?
2nd, that the church allegedly ex-communicated her for her attempts, adds proof to the current charges against the Catholic church, that it is a long-perverted cult of dangerous megalomaniacs and outright liars.
3rd, that these alleged events occurred in the 19th century, begs the question about how long before that, were the filthy bastards at-it?
But, being as anti-Catholic as I am, FORCED into this position by no less than the Catholic church itself (and my mum), being as sceptical as I've become, and awake to the gross perversions of the facts by the biggest and most evil corporation on Earth, I reckon that this news story is bullshit, fabricated by the desperate micks to lift McKillop's profile as we near her beatification day.
It seems to fit like a glove, doesn't it? The church is teetering on the edge of financial bankruptcy and Spiritual disgrace and worldwide collapse as evermore exposures of priestly paedophilia storm front page headlines.
The church needs desperately someone to save it, and who better than a story about a dead nun taking-on the wicked priests?
Exactly like the dead Jesus stories they've pummelled our brains with for 1600 years.
We have to believe them, because He, and she, are DEAD, so no-one can ask them questions.
Because of this, of course (hehehehehe!) we have to "believe" the priests' stories about McKillop.
And we all know that Catholic priests NEVER LIE, don't we?
Same-same as the fact that the Catholic church has been in-deep in the manufacturing, processing and dealing of heroin for as long as the west has known about it and it's base, Opium!
Then, if it's near relevant, the fact that the Catholic church has been in-deep in the vicious business of invading Sovereign Peoples' land, destroying Honorable, Wise and Enlightened Cultures, plundering the resources and lives for some 2,500 years, so they can lay claim to dominating the whole planet.
