I briefly knew Harold in the 1980s. Praise you, Brother!
Dr Ross Grainger's comments, and other herein, tell glimpses of the horror story that was and STILL IS, Australia, not just for those Souls like Harolds Et Al who were deported here.
Perhaps it's better the world never knows the full story of Astrayliar's REAL culture, and of the Catholic's involvement in genocide of the Enlightened Aborigine - my ancestors, but of three generations ago - and the heinous underbelly we all lie-lie-lie to all about, minute-by-minute.
There can be no doubt, as a nation we are most-all suffering on-going mental trauma, causing us to resort to extreme materialism, and abuse of any 'drug' we can get.
Causing also, perhaps the most widespread and serious mass-case of Spiritual, thus Intellectual, thus mental retardation.

When an Aussie 'acts out' and expresses anger at the horror so often underlying their 'Christian-imposed' culture, thus their own psyche, the (Catholic) coppers call the victim 'mentally ill' and divvy them off to the CATHOLIC psyche clinic?
Once more I scribe-scream - ARREST THE POPE!
As well, our parliaments are viciously held hostage by the churches, who apparently own some one-seventh of our nation's, our People's (our Aboriginal People's) land, and their wayward Zionist corporations, and threaten chaos whenever the rightminded in the federal ALP government mention doing the Just Thing and taxing things like mining profiteering, or the land, or of reducing government funding of the church schools, which are breeding the darkest corporate egomania known.
Ex-prime minister Kevin Rudd was, I put-it, ousted by the churches' using their grip over our right wing media to campaign him down, once he campaigned in the '07 federal election for scientifically-proven Tax Reforms, and other absolutely Proper Policies. Reforms and Policies which would have forced these evil cults to prove their worth - something everyone knows they can never do!
ARREST THE POPE!
I reckon Harold and (many) millions of others agree.....
This, and these stories, such as Harold's, and indeed ex-PM Kevin Rudd's, as well as my own family history, are precisely why I DEFY all the Catholic, and my dynastic families' calls to partake of their deeply dysfunctional political sphere, and is why I now end my weblogs with the following two lines.
