Tonight, I watched tele!

For some delightful reason, Foxtel has given me a BONUS category, which sends me access to both the ABC TV, and SBS TV!
(How benevolent they'll remain after this weblog is published, I dunno........?)
So, after being out of range in the NT desert for a week or more, I returned to near a Telstra 3G transmission tower, and tuned-in.
The show I now comment on was the ABC's Q&A, hosted by their familiar face, Tony Jones.
It is made up of a “panel” of known political and other faces - Malcolm Turnbull (federal Liberal MP), Greame Richardson ex-Labor MP and longtime power-broker/lobbyist, Sarah Hanson-Young federal Greens' Senator, Craig Emerson ALP federal MP and another young woman I don't know, surname Brown. A media lassie, I think.
Having been starved of ABC TV for several years, I wuz glued to the skreen (on mobile), through the 7pm news, the 7.30 Report, 4-Corners, gave the next show a miss after watching it promote the Deputy Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, as she increases her profile for replacing Kevin Rudd as PM.
Nothing against her, she's a good, intelligent and feisty parliamentarian, AND a “Leftie”, and may well be a sound choice (perhaps the only choice, though probably the preselected choice?) if Kev cannot restore his own profile, before or after the next election.
Then came, I think, Q&A, or “Question and Answer” where supposedly, members of the audience put questions to the panel, which changes each week.
Ummm....?
Here are my comments about the show Q&A, which I'm about to send through their "Have Your Say" online window:
ABC's Q&A: A disgusting attack on Sarah Hanson-Young from main parties Lib and ALP.
Almost an offstage set-up, including from a stacked audience.
Show heard questions from audience, then Jones allowed unrelated party-political pre-election spin to takeover, descending into YET ANOTHER 'drink's cabinet' scrum-and-chuckle session.
Yes, I'm pro-Green, based on Economic and Environmental Science, NOT biased IMF rhetoric.
Another THEIR ABC swinging the meat-cleaver at the Greens.
The ABC's offshore bosses agreeing with the big parties to sandwich their cabal's political..., REALPolitikal threat - The Greens - between unsustainable, unscientific, and untrue economic bullshit!
Sarah was in the middle, stuck between the “boys” of the majors, and was accosted from both sides at once, in more than one assault.
She handled herself well, even against rude odds, which has me suspect that while the boyz were out to slay her, she's as likely to have improved her popularity from suffering the anti-Environment male chauvinists as she did, even managing a smile here and there.
Clearly the show is a publicity platform for the corruption-club of the two foreign-owned corporo-political teams, who, in 2010, play using their common threat - the Greens' Hanson-Young as their football.
Compare Tony Jones gets a RED CARD and is suspended for the rest of the season for bad umpiring.
Turnbull and Emerson dropped from their Canberra teams for life.
Richo is sent back to the advertising and bullshit bench and Hanson-Young is promoted to Vice-Captain of Australia!
The majority of the audience were smug church-schooled middle-upper-class stooges, with, partial, blind-cynicism against Hanson-Young's intelligence-based, impartial, Earth-first Science.
Lift your game ABC!
