Foreign Minister Rudd and Australia's future?

16/09/10.

I guess the foreign affairs portfolio for the ex-PM is the least the knifers could do for Kev, a handsome and sort-after ministry to be sure.

Personally, internal party-room personal variances aside, I reckon that habit of putting offshore, threatening MPs, has whiskers on it.

In Rudd's case, the ALP, a proud and stubborn mob, are obliged to give Rudd an appropriate portfolio suited to his high-level all-round talents, but would do us all a favor by not pushing him outside the cabinet discussions on domestic Progressive Economic and Environmental Reforms.

The future for the aging ALP, both federal and state, will have to be of “moving forward” from staid and dated offshore and unsustainable “heavy-industro-centric” politics and policies, toward the Prime Mandate of Pro-Environmental Economic Policies, an unofficially recognised Mandate the ex-PM saw and understood well.

So, to push him off to the bigtime of Broadway and Pareee, et al, robs Australia of a Son with yet, enormous potential.

Personalities aside.

But while ya' there Kev! Enjoy the scenery!
