New name for the Gulf of Mexico!

Cartographers are discussing whether it is time to rename the oil-soaked Gulf of Mexico.

Since the oil rig disaster of three weeks ago, "British Petroleum" or "BP", the principal corporation behind the worst environmental catastrophe since the Big Bang, has been forced to rebrand itself "Biggest Polluters", thus causing many a beach-goer way-down-south, beyond the Bayou, to refer to the Gulf of Mexico as "The Gulf of Oilico".

If this latest environmental apocalypse isn't a "wake-up call" for the world to slow-down our unthinking habits of over-consumption, and this must also include our over-reliance on making money and satisfying our taste-buds from raping the planet and it's livestock, whether crude oil, minerals mining, red meat or seafoods, then soon enough we'll be changing the name of the "Pacific Ocean" to the "Pathetic Ocean"!

It may very well be, that one more oil spill into the oceans like this one by Biggest Polluters, could cause the flow-on effect of killing a significant proportion of the sea-creatures fished by unregulated, uncontrolled seafood corporations, and thus a major proportion of peoples' livelihoods could be wiped-out.

As it is, the decimation of saltwater operations in and around the Gulf of Oilico, is more than enough for us all to call for a moratorium on blithe consumption of increasingly rare resources, from crude oil to seafood.

As much as I like meat myself, it must be said, in this day-and-age, carnivores are well-passed their use-by-date.

Just like "gas-guzzlers"!
