It stands to
reason, then, that the 'left' should go about calling for a much
wider and deeper inquiry into things like 'capitalism' 'free markets'
'corporate links to government' corporations [aka, the auto
industries, and all large employers] blackmailing governments for
support and other benefits, etc?
Then, if the
'left' are still anywhere near onside with 'The Workers', they'd also
call for a police inquiry, with the same powers as those Shorten is
lobbying for, into our most debilitating system of land ownership and
distribution - aka the real estate industry. Aka, the offshore land
owners of Britain and other 'lords of ----'.
Were such a
public and proper police investigation to get to the facts, they
would arrive at the same conclusion that ex-Treasury head, Ken Henry
reached, in his 'Henry Tax Review' of 2008/2009, which determined,
from scientific inquiry, that a 'National Land Tax' is, as John W
Howard is quoted as calling, 'The Most Honest Tax', and would solve
all issues leading the Battlers into doing corrupt deals to stay in
the fight against the foreign landlords, and their right wing LNP
type.
For Shorten and
coy to NOT go to that measure, exposes him and his mob as, as corrupt
and self-serving as the LNP.
Unions here, and
the ALP, began in the late 1890s on that very same taxation issue.
