with shallow, cheap words is common from fools. [I excel at it.]

Lots of comments
here, and across The Guardian generally come from 'sad' minds,
suffering all manner of 'who knows?' psychopathy. Most of it, from
experience, is from selfish people, aka 'right wingers'.
'Gender' insults
are the same.
I tend to the
belief, substantiated again from my own 59 years of watching, that
the lower forms of our political discourses, have on the left, a
[catholic] female 'gentleness' about them, which is possibly a
deceit, but seems to want discussions to be more thoughtful, which
for many women, simply means being non-violent. ["All life is
sacred"]
Another word for
that is [the foul] 'political correctness' which wants chat to not
contain swearing, insult or anger, etc. But it - PC - also as-much
prohibits the necessary harshness of when one sees fallacy in a
'gentler' argument, that the positer, often a 'charismatic', refuses
to see their own flaws, and so a raised voice becomes the only, and
rightful way to break the spell the talker of rubbish is under.
The article does
speak sense, and the mockers expose their own troll-like mentalities.
But brutal talk
from 'masculine' blokes also works to the same end as PC, where any
hard facts, or 'truths' underneath the surface of an argument, are
forgotten and covered-over.
The talk in this
article about the gender-attacks from the LNP, when in opposition,
and now, trying to ensure the ALP is forever burned at the stake
[as-in women witches, because, there has been a lot of that going
around in 'christian' 'Labor' circles these past 5 or more decades],
is about 'boys' being hyped-up by their trainers, to appeal to
Australia's base, pseudo-masculine, misogynist, un-traveled,
uninformed, biased male voters, and their female partners as well.
Our macho
psychoses date back centuries, to the darkest days of the 'nation'.
Politicians go
there, for votes. Raising the Intelligence of the voting public is
rarely THE primary issue or policy of any western 1st world
politician nowadays.
And, I'd guess a
majority of voters now regard politics as 'entertainment' more than a
serious issue, mainly because we, the People, have had any real say
or influence stolen from us.
So, as it is
pushed into our faces daily, and each night on the news, the best way
we can handle it, is to treat it with the humor, it, deserves.
That, is almost
the proper way to take these politicians, if only because they too,
treat 'the game' with derision [off camera], and laugh at most
situations concerning the common weal.
That, is the
downslope we're all on, which has to increase the cheap shots, and
ever lower comments and level of discourse. All of it, also, I
think, increases the space for untruths in politics.
None of it, is
either 'manly' or 'womanly', ie., it's all quite unhuman. But that's
where we are....
